Neither, actually. Just following up on my earlier post, in case anyone cared what a UYD noob listener thought. The three full shows I tried—one early in the show’s run, one in the middle, and the most recent—were each an hour and change of two guys mostly making snarky comments about news stories. To me, it’s playing T-ball with low-hanging fruit, and not the sort of humor I find engaging. When the conversation was more focused on personal anecdotes and observations, the show was more enjoyable.

Like I said, a lot of people love the show, and that’s great. I wish Seth and Jonathan a lot of luck.

nope, you’re dead on.  we are here to voice indiv ops, not rep a whole entity.

  that pcast JJGo is a bit…well, not my steaze.  the hosts, in my humble opinion, are simpy not funny.  their comments seem forced and lame.  Jah made the cast roll, and Seth made the funny (his near-silence was hilarious just due to the connotation that you derive from it…he seemed to hate being htere).  Seth’s “Dude…ARE YOU COOL?” to the lispy voicemailer had me on the floor of my office crying with laughter.  i had to rewind it several times just to enjoy that reaction over and over.  priceless.

loved THIS JJgo podcast b/c it had jah and seth on it.  i listen to many many many podcasts and jjgo is not, again in my opinion, not worth my time.

all this being said, even my neg comments, i would LOVE to see the jjgo peeps in the UYD studio.  soley for the fact that seth gets HIS shit out and gets to forget their names.

I’m coming in a little late to this and it looks like things have cooled down a bit. I don’t post much but I am an avid fan of both shows, I got into UYD before sound of young america and JJGo. While I will admit that lately JJgo has fallen off a bit, it’s still consistantly funny.

This episode was a little awkward but only because i’m such a huge UYD fan. If I didn’t know how much seth should have been talking it wouldn’t have seemed weird that he was silent.

And I think Jesse is funny. I think he was trying too hard with the whole power ballad thing, and it did seem like he was ragging on jah or the way he dresses, but you can see that as a way for jah to talk more about himself.

I don’t know, looks like you guys have settled the discussion, i just wanted to add my 2 cents. Wish I could have gotten in while things were still hopping. I’m always a week behind on my podcasts.

i’m about 30 minutes into this- and i think its the pits.  i’ll listen to it a few times and try to get more into it.  i would’ve rather heard them guest on a different podcast based in Brooklyn.

and what’s his face- the guy from JJGO, even if you are a real radio guy, you don’t have to talk like that.  it’s terrible.

I pretty much left JJGO for UYD some time ago, though I’d still have the occasional scandalous rendezvous. Cheating on UYD with somebody like Adam Corolla is like jerking off or going to a whore -so totally different than UYD - my gorgeous, blushing bride.

i can’t see ever listening to this again- unless Jah and Seth appear again.  this show is the pits.  i’m more angry about this since i’ve listened to the entire episode.

i went to their forums, and someone said they listened to some UYD, and their GF said that they should swear less.  these guys have a fucking Con, and maria bamford is going to be there.  that is all.

Ok. Now, having listened to the whole show, all this seems fishy. The show was great. It was quite funny. Of course it was obvious the two shows have different steazes, but it was just two comedy acts blended. I couldn’t hear the aggresion or tension everyone’s talking about. Is this hullaballoo just to get people to listen? You cloakin’ your shit, Willis?
