what was odd - my wife downloaded the episode from itunes just fine, but it did not for me! I got it to downloaded after I unsubscribed and subscribed.

Hey Jah, it’s not working through iTunes, Podcast Alley, or the direct link to the servers that Podcast Alley has (when I tried to download through a few different browsers):

The eps are displayed but downloading doesn’t work.

Not sure if audioblog is where the files are stored or not, it may be an issue with the code. OK here’s where I get nerdy… The company I work for lets people have their own podcasts, and every once in awhile when a podcast breaks like this it’s due to a ‘bad’ character in the podcast - this usually happens if you cut and paste the description from another source and the font used in the other source makes a character that is different than if you were to type it on your keyboard. (For example a pasted apostrophe looks different from an apostrophe you’d type on your keyboard)—not sure if the service you use has you type the description into a field or if you do hard coding to create the XML..

I ran the podcast link above through a feed validator, and only a few errors were displayed. Usually the things highlighted in yellow are things iTunes doesn’t like but won’t break the feed entirely (items in red break the feed). One thing about this, even if you see a red item you can usually download previous eps, it will just stop updating after the episode that has a bad character in the title or description. You might address the items in yellow just for fun, the website below has lots of good info on how to clean up your code:

I’d check with whomever is hosting your files, it seems to be a problem beyond the coding of the XML.

Haha, I’m nowhere near Weck or 55inch, I know just enough to do damage every once in awhile. I’m happy I can help in any little way possible (if my mini novel even ends up helping). :D

I can’t get episode 171 or 172. I’ve been trying for like 2 weeks. you gotta help me j dog. I’m jones-ing real bad.

173 seems to have the same problem. just tried to download it from the xml feed. Tells me the file is 0 bytes. How can this be?!

Fuckity Fuck ok so i dont know what the shot is up. i have put word into my audio host. I am pissed. Could all that haven’t unsubscribe and resubscribe to see if that has any effect. Keep us posted please and I will do the same.

Tried unsubscribing and that hasn’t worked, haven’t been able to get any eps including the older ones.

I was having the same prob. Then I closed all the itunes programs that were running through Task Manager and then tried to DL again. Dont know what happened but it’s DL’ing for me right now. I guess I got lucky and Fonzied it somehow.

Monday morning and I still can’t get the p-cast through Podcast Alley. Sucks because I’m going through back episodes at the moment and am completely losing my mind at not having some UYD to dip to.
