I just finished reading Chuck Palahniuks Fight club, truly hypnotic and very interesting. I’m also gonna see the film in a couple of days.

Now I’m currently reading the third book in the Dexter (Dexter in the Dark) series (The books the show is based on, love the show too).

It doesnt have to be a book, maybe it’s a playgirl? Or an extreme sports magazine.

I’m currently reading the George R.R. Martin series, “Song of Ice and Fire”.

My recent faves:
“Then We Came to the End” by Joshua Ferris—written in the third-person plural, and never identifies the narrator.  Absolutely genius.
“The Omnivore’s Dilemma” by Michael Pollen—you want to be horrified by our industrial food system, this is your book.
“Altered Carbon” and “Market Forces” by Richard K Morgan—pretty dark futuristic

And I’ll always re-read the Dune Series, by Frank Hebert.

Finished up Joseph Conrad’s The Secret Agent, don’t know why so many loco motherfuckers have it in their libraries (Unabomber, I think maybe Timmy from OK).

Reading Mark Twain’s The Innocents Abroad now, pretty good and witty travelogue of Europe and the Levant from about 150 years ago.  Its crazy that his sense of humor still works, and is even more relevant today than it may have been way back when.

I highly recommend Chuck Palahnuks “Survivor”

Just finished reading Still Life With Woodpecker. Excellent book. Will be checking out more of Robbins stuff from the library.

Hmm, let’s see…I am just finishing up a romance/erotica novel by Lora Leigh, then I think I will move on to the People magazine that deals with Jessica Simpson’s battle against fatness.  How’s that, braniacs?

You mother fucker…

What type of perspective was the column about Jessica Simpson using to analyze the current state of American society?

I finished reading House of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielewski a few of months ago, then breezed through Chuck Palahniuk’s Choke, then I slept on reading for a bit.

I’m currently reading World War Z (I’m all about zombies and apocalyptic scenarios).

My next daunting literary endeavor will be trying to get through Atlas Shrugged. I’m terrified.

Don’t worry about Atlas Shrugged. It’s a decent read, but it insists upon itself and some people regard it as some sort of bible. Why do you think the only reading material you find in the sewer is crumpled up porno and Ayne Rand?

Do you think the average cat would enjoy Garfield, or would cats find this cartoon to be an insulting caricature?

House of Leaves is one of my favorite books of all time. I’m thinking about dipping back into that one soon.

I’ve always had the understanding that Atlas Shrugged and The Fountainhead are official scriptures for The Douchebags of America Association.

Just finished “Duma Key” by Stephen King.  Pretty good, very reminiscent of previous King books…Now I am reading “Broken Music” by Sting.  He’s a pompous ass, but the Police were great!

If you like Palahniuk, check out “A Fraction of the Whole” by Steve Toltz. He’s an Aussie writer with a really sharp wit, and a great knack for genuine story telling. I highly recommend checking it out.
