Yeah seriously… deal with it.

Maybe that’s the problem then, is the radio factor.  I never listen to the radio anymore… just ipod or UYD.  So of course UYD is going to be a lot softer than your radio signal.  Radio stations amp that shit up so that you are sure to hear their signal and their commercials.  I don’t think UYD has any real audio problems.  I think Jonathan does a good job at giving us a clean epi every week.

i have never noticed any problems either, other then the first couple of episodes are overall softer then the later ones, but still thats no real problem

also, jah has said a couple of times that he tries to put seth on one channel, and himself on another.

I have no belly aching to add to this thread just because I want to de-rail it from its absurdity.

i would like to add that SModcast — which one would think would have better resources than UYD for post-pro — also falls victim to the same issues. ever listen to a show where Kevin co-hosts with his daughter? jesus-fucking-christ! if you dont know what im talking about, just go dl the Father’s Day ep. it’s a whole ep of her going back and forth between holding the mic across the room and shoving it in her mouth while talking. if you make it through the whole ep, hats off—you have more mental fortitude than me.

I know exactly what you are talking about. I turned it off after about 20 minutes. Smodcast is pretty good overall though.

Yeah, and sadly it isn’t limited to just little kids.  Any ep with bryan johnson was always a trainwreck, levels-wise (particularly annoying since he’s the best guest host).  They finally fixed that a bit in his last appearance, then immediately follow-up with that video chat recording or whatever the fuck it was—utterly atrocious.

Clearly J&S need some of those britney-spears-style headset mics.  Then they can move around / gesticulate as wildly as they like without losing volume.

okay, i’ll admit that at times sound is slightly an issue with me, but nothing to get worked up over.  think of all the shitty mixed tapes you’ve had in your life when one quiet song was followed by a speaker-blowing rock ballad.  deal with it!

i compare it to my favorite band releasing a new EP every week for $0.00… so why bitch?

i understand that some of you are audiophiles and it gets on your nerves, but you’re going to have to just accept it.  unless you want to take the the time and edit the volume yourselves.

yeah can’t believe this is rly a thread…these two fresh-ass dudes entertain us for an hour a week for free…put on a free show in h-wood…put hours of work in every week and get paid nada. I’m okay with minor audio issues…and add ur own artwork homey.

This is exactly how I feel too.

For those of you who use iTunes, you can easily adjust the volume of an episode if you check under the Options tab in the episodes Info. You can also change the Equalizer to another setting to get another sound.
